Minneapolis (November 13th, 2023) – CTC Software, a leader in building information modeling (BIM) technologies and software services, has released an integration between several CTC Software tools and Autodesk Construction Cloud, a portfolio of software and services that combines advanced technology, a builder’s network and predictive insights for construction teams.
Leverage BIM Data in the Cloud
- Plotter & Exporter – enables scheduled exports and plotting, automatically opens, and generates PDF, DWG, DGN, NVS files and more. Available in BIM Batch Suite
- Family Loader – provides the ability to batch load families into projects, automatically opening, synchronizing, and closing the models. Available in BIM Batch Suite
- Import & Link Manager – modifies and updates external links in Revit models stored in Autodesk Construction Cloud. Available in BIM Manager Suite
Easily Enable Powerful Automation
Importing large 3D models is typically a manual process, requiring users to first open models on their desktop computers or perform a series of steps to download the large files, run the tools on them, and then ensure the model is properly closed.
The CTC Software ACC Connector automates this process, enabling BIM leaders to ‘set and forget’ plotting sheets or the exporting of BIM data. The processes can be set up to run at various intervals, such as nightly or weekly, freeing up time and resources and eliminating human error from frequently run, yet tedious, processes.
