Why should you use the 2D Color Components Library for Detailing?
Our library of Revit “detail Items” families are specifically built for use in Autodesk Revit. Creating Revit detail family content can be time consuming, and at times tedious. Additionally, family libraries can be challenging to build, and maintain consistency over time within the demands of an architectural practice. The “Out-of-the-box” (OOTB) detailing families are a good start. Our custom detailing family content takes 2D detailing to the next level! If you want great, flexible, consistent color detail components at a reasonable price-point for construction documents; then you’ve come to the right place. Our full-color details improve reading clarity of components over traditional black and white line details.
The “detail items” families are simple to use, and have been tested and proved within our own real-world design projects. The detailed item families use consistent colors for solid fills and material patterns as they relate to material type in section cut, plan, and elevation view. Lighter colors are established for background elevation components in detail assemblies. The current color system is composed of fifty-seven (57) solid color fills used to render material components in elevation plus one hundred and five (105) color patterns to render materials in section cut.
The “detail items” naming conventions use the “Construction Specifications Institute” (CSI) six-digit specification numbering system prefix with each family, an industry proven nomenclature known by architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the AEC industry. The CSI numbering allows easy sorting and identification of construction components used in construction document detailing and coordination with written specifications.
We’re glad you found our company and hope you will consider using our detail families in your work. We think you will enjoy the benefits of color presentation that comes with our uniquely built detail items library
