Subscription Libraries for CMS
The Two Types of Subscription Libraries
Free to Use
Content provided by CTC, manufacturers and Autodesk. It will be made available automatically to all users.
Pay to use
Curated content provided by CTC and others that provides value above the freely available sources. This content requires a paid subscription to use and is indicated by price per user.
How to Purchase Subscription Content Libraries
In the portal, go to CMS –> Subscription Libraries to browse the list of available providers. Once decided on the library to purchase, choose 'ADD TO CART'
You will be able to adjust the quantity in the cart before purchase.
Click on the cart to adjust quantity and complete the purchase.
In some cases, there may be adjustments to price for pro-rated subscriptions (aligns with furthest existing product end date) and/or volume discounts for multiple seats purchased. Price totals will reflect these factors.
When the purchase is complete, an email will be sent to your account with the details of the purchase and another to confirm the subscription number of seats and end date.
Once purchased, licenses for use will be available for assignment immediately. See the section on Assigning Access to Subscription Libraries.
Adding Additional Seats to a Subscription
Subscription libraries that have been purchased will feature an 'ADD' button next to the user assignment button. Click 'ADD'. The process at this point is the same as the initial purchase.
Your added seats will be available immediately after successful payment.
Assigning Access to Subscription Content
Using the CMS application, locate the subscription in the list of organization libraries and click on the users icon.
In the user selection interface, type the name of the user to add and click 'SEARCH'
Click on a matching result in the list that appears.
The number of seats available will be indicated. Once all are assigned, no more users can be selected.
Remove users that no longer require access to free up seats.
Continue the search/click/add process until all desired users have been assigned and 'SAVE' to complete.
Users of the CMS application may need to close/open the app, or click to refresh the list of libraries available to them.
