Introduction to Invisibility Advisor from the BIM Project Suite

March 26 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

When something that should be displayed in a view is no where to be found, it can cause great frustration. When end users have to spend time fixing these visibility issues, they aren’t being productive on other model development tasks. The Invisibility Advisor was purpose built to investigate and resolve visibility issues with components that are hidden in various ways, saving time and frustration. CTC’s Shawn Zirbes will present.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accessing Invisibility Advisor
  • Introduction to Interface
  • Selection of Elements and Views
  • Resolve Issues with Invisibility

Introduction to HIVE including New Features!

March 27 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Shawn will present this special session. You may have heard the buzz about HIVE, and you want to see if HIVE may be a quality solution to use in your firm. In this webinar we will cover all major features available in HIVE including end-user content searching and demonstrate some of the daily workflows that may be improved by HIVE use. Included will be the latest features previewed from the main stage at Midwest U just a week prior!

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the base functionality of HIVE
  • Describe the user navigation in the HIVE interface
  • Organize libraries to speed end-user searches
  • Manage user content access efficiently

Introduction to BIM Batch Suite- Including the new Project Processor!

April 3 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

CTC’s Shawn Zirbes will present. BIM Batch Suite provides tools that allow Revit users to process key workflows en masse, with a focus on importing and exporting data. This session will show off the new Project Processor tool which can automate the purge, and other model maintenance tasks. BIM Batch Suite is meant for Revit users Who have a fair amount of experience in Revit, and used by firms of all sizes. This presentation will discuss and lightly demonstrate some of the functionality.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identification of Free vs Licensed Tools
  • Description of Popular Tools
  • How to Obtain the Suite
  • Discussion of Suite Deployment

Introduction to Room Data Sheets from the BIM Project Suite

April 9 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Creating Views and laying out sheets is tedious enough without having to repeat the process for every type of room in the model. It is often more convenient to setup the desired views, then just select all desired rooms, knowing that the views and sheets will be generated as expected. Room Data Sheets does just that, allowing a streamlined workflow to generate this information rapidly and consistently.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accessing Room Data Sheets
  • Introduction to Interface
  • Define View Settings and Positions
  • Generate Views and Sheets

Introduction to Parameter Jammer from the BIM Project Suite

April 17 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Often users will download content from manufacturer websites. The issue of external content doesn’t always become apparent until the Revit user attempts to display component data in a Revit Schedule. Content built on differing standards often cannot be scheduled in any consistent way causing significant frustration and interruptions in the workflow. Parameter Jammer can resolve most of the data issues with externally sourced content quite easily. This webinar will demonstrate exact tool workflows and how the end users can have much smoother workflows in relation to content. Shawn will present this webcast.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accessing Parameter Jammer
  • Introduction to Interface
  • Define Add-in Options
  • Update Modeled Content for Schedule Compliance

Introduction to Occupant Flow Analyzer from the BIM Project Suite

April 23 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Unfortunately Revit has no way to auto calculate room occupancy and generate egress pathing, accounting for multiple levels. This process typically happens in external tools, or is calculated entirely by hand. The process is not fast, and is often riddled with human error. The Occupant Flow Analyzer does all of these tasks and more. This webinar will demonstrate the entry level controls available to you in this add-in. CTC’s Shawn Zirbes will present.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accessing Occupant Flow Analyzer
  • Introduction to Interface
  • Define Add-in Options
  • Generate Occupancies and Egress Flows

Introduction to Dimension Checker from the BIM Manager Suite

May 7 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Have you ever run into conflicts in your project models because a dimension reported one value, but the actual modeled space was not consistent with it? This can generate significant issues in actual construction. While Revit does try to protect from this, users can still create overrides that cause conflicts. The Dimension Checker has been purpose built to detect these types of conflicts and generate reports so the responsible party can correct the issue.

Learning Objectives:

  • Accessing Dimension Checker
  • Introduction to Interface
  • Detection Settings
  • Discovery and reporting of problematic dimensions
